Inter-American Development Bank Supports Torrecom's Digital Infrastructure Expansion in Latin America
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is part of a consortium providing a $140 million long-term financing package to Torrecom Partners LP, a leading telecom tower operator in Latin America. This initiative, which includes Proparco and DEG, aims to expand Torrecom's portfolio to over 2,500 telecommunications towers across several Latin American countries. The financing will enhance digital infrastructure, improve mobile connectivity, and support the deployment of next-generation mobile technologies like 5G. The project emphasizes infrastructure co-location to lower deployment costs and optimize asset use, thereby accelerating network modernization and service quality improvements.
