Kim Jong Un Inspects New Nuclear Plant, Plans Exponential Weapons Production Increase
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has inspected a new facility designed to produce weapons-grade nuclear material, signaling a significant expansion in the country's nuclear capabilities. According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim announced plans to enhance North Korea's nuclear forces at an 'exponential rate.' This development follows the failure of denuclearization talks with the United States, which included three meetings with President Trump. The new plant is part of a five-year plan to bolster North Korea's nuclear deterrent, with the country reportedly doubling its capacity to produce nuclear material over the past five years. The International Atomic Energy Agency has noted the construction of a new building at Yongbyon, similar to the Kangson enrichment facility, indicating ongoing expansion efforts.
