Heavy Rain Leads to Car Submersion in Port St. Lucie, Florida

On Wednesday, the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to an incident where an elderly couple's vehicle became submerged in a pond following a crash. The accident occurred near E. Caribbean Drive and Cam De Entrada, as the driver made a wrong turn and attempted to reverse, leading the car to slide into the water. Police officers quickly arrived on the scene and successfully rescued the couple from the submerged vehicle. The couple was evaluated medically and transported to the hospital as a precaution, but they are reported to be in good health. The police department emphasized the importance of cautious driving during hazardous weather conditions.
