U.S. Army Launches LANPAC 26 Summit in Waikīkī Amid Global Conflicts
The U.S. Army has commenced the LANPAC 26 summit in Waikīkī, a significant event focused on discussing land power. This gathering occurs against the backdrop of ongoing global conflicts, including the Russia-Ukraine war and the Iran war. The summit also coincides with a meeting between President Trump and China's Xi Jinping. The event highlights the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Command (UNC) in the Pacific, which was a focal point of the keynote speeches. Australian Army Lt. Gen. Scott A. Winter, the deputy commander of the UNC, spoke at the East-West Center prior to the summit. The LANPAC 26 summit is being held at the Sheraton Waikīkī hotel and includes military officials from over 25 countries, such as Thailand and France.
