Allstate Report Ranks Baltimore as Third Riskiest City for Drivers in the U.S.
Baltimore has been identified as the third-riskiest city for drivers in the United States, according to the 2026 America's Best Drivers Report by Allstate. This annual report, which is in its 18th year, evaluates auto insurance claims data from the 200 largest cities in the nation. The report ranks cities based on the average number of years between collision claims, with shorter intervals indicating higher risk. Baltimore follows Boston, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C., which are ranked first and second, respectively. The report highlights that both the location and the driving habits of individuals significantly influence crash risks. Allstate's Drivewise program, which is integrated into their mobile app, provides feedback on driving behaviors such as speeding, hard braking, and phone use, aiming to promote safer driving habits.
