Chicago Historian Adam Selzer Uncovers New Discoveries in 'Graceland Cemetery Vol. 2'
Chicago historian, writer, and tour guide Adam Selzer has released 'Graceland Cemetery Vol. 2,' a new book that delves into previously untold stories and new facts about individuals interred in Chicago's historic Graceland Cemetery. This follow-up to his successful 'Graceland Cemetery: Chicago Stories, Symbols, and Secrets' continues his exploration of the cemetery as a unique lens through which to view American history. While the first volume covered many famous monuments, the second volume focuses on lesser-known figures like William Bradshaw Egan, Celia Wallace ('The Diamond Queen'), and Mary Baker ('the vanishing bride of the 1920s'), as well as offering new insights into figures like artist Ed Paschke and athletes Minnie Miñoso and Doug Buffone. Selzer's work is characterized by his meticulous research and stylish writing.
