Berks County DUI Crash Results in Pending Homicide Charges for Driver
In Richmond Township, Pennsylvania, a tragic incident occurred involving the deaths of Walnuttown Fire Chief Jeff Buck and Assistant Chief Robert Shick. The two fire chiefs were participating in a missing person search when they were struck by a vehicle while in a UTV on the side of Route 222. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Alexander Sepulveda-Rivera from the Bronx, allegedly hit them head-on and fled the scene. He has since been apprehended and is currently held in Berks County Jail on an outstanding warrant. The District Attorney, John Adams, announced that Sepulveda-Rivera will face charges of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence. A makeshift memorial has been established at the crash site, and a procession was held by first responders and community members to honor the fallen chiefs.
