Former NH Trooper Pleads Guilty to Lying to Police, Faces Legal Consequences
James Lamoureaux, a former New Hampshire state trooper, has pleaded guilty to making false reports to law enforcement. He admitted to placing GPS tracking devices on his then-girlfriend's car and lying to police about it. Lamoureaux also asked another person to lie to the police. As part of a plea deal, he will resign, surrender his law enforcement certification, and be placed on the national registry of decertified officers. He faces a six-month suspended prison sentence, contingent on compliance with court-ordered conditions.
