Pompano Beach Warehouse Fire Contained, No Injuries Reported Despite Extensive Damage
A significant fire broke out at a warehouse in Pompano Beach, Florida, causing extensive damage to the building. The fire, which started before 6 p.m., required a large response from multiple fire agencies, with over 30 units involved in containing the blaze. The warehouse, located near North Dixie Highway and Northwest 15th Street, was engulfed in flames, sending large columns of smoke into the air. Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. The warehouse was used for an import-export business, and the owner, Charles Philone, reported a total loss of merchandise stored for shipment to Haiti. Firefighters remained on the scene overnight to monitor for any rekindling, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
