University of Pittsburgh Launches $3 Billion 'Proving Possible' Fundraising Campaign
The University of Pittsburgh has initiated a $3 billion fundraising campaign, named 'Proving Possible,' aimed at fostering growth across its various programs and campuses. This comprehensive campaign has already secured nearly $1.4 billion through initial gifts and commitments. The initiative seeks to ensure financial accessibility for all admitted students, enhance the overall student experience, and attract and retain top-tier faculty, researchers, and staff. Furthermore, the campaign is designed to strengthen the university's research enterprise, build lasting partnerships, and deepen community and economic engagement, extending its impact globally. Chancellor Joan Gabel announced the public launch during a celebration at the Petersen Events Center, coinciding with homecoming and the 100th anniversary of the Cathedral of Learning’s groundbreaking. The campaign is closely aligned with the University's strategic plan, emphasizing innovation and discovery.
