Marquette Law School Poll Highlights Inflation and Cost of Living as Top Concerns for Americans
A recent national survey conducted by the Marquette Law School Poll reveals that inflation and the cost of living are the most pressing issues for Americans, with 35% of respondents identifying it as their primary concern. The poll, conducted from July 22-29, 2026, involved 1,076 adults nationwide. The survey also highlighted that 81% of participants noticed an increase in gasoline prices, while 79% reported higher grocery costs. Despite slight improvements in economic perceptions from May to July, the overall sentiment remains negative compared to January. The poll also noted a decline in President Trump's approval ratings on economic issues, with only 30% approving of his handling of inflation and the economy.
