U.S. Representative Laura Friedman Meets with Human Rights Attorney Siranush Sahakyan in Los Angeles
U.S. Representative Laura Friedman, a Democrat from Glendale, recently met with human rights attorney Siranush Sahakyan in Los Angeles. Sahakyan's visit, organized by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western United States Central Committee and the Armenian Legal Center for Justice and Human Rights (ALC), focused on advocating for Armenian hostages held in Baku and the rights of forcibly displaced people from Artsakh. The meeting with Representative Friedman was part of a series of engagements that included a public town hall, discussions with Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian and the Glendale City Council, and visits to the Armenian American Museum, UCLA Law School, Armenian schools, and the Western Prelacy.
