Lawrence Technological University Wins First Place in Self-Drive Challenge
Lawrence Technological University's (LTU) team, rACTor, secured first place in the Self-Drive Challenge at the 33rd annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition. The event, held at Oakland University, featured 24 college teams competing in automated driving and unmanned ground robot challenges. LTU's team achieved a perfect score and completed the course faster than their closest competitor, Hosei University from Japan. The competition tested autonomous vehicles on various functions, including obstacle detection and lane changing, in a real-world outdoor environment.
