Explosion on HMM Vessel Raises Security Concerns in Persian Gulf
An explosion and subsequent fire occurred on the HMM Namu, a general cargo ship, while it was anchored off the UAE port of Umm Al Quwain. The incident has sparked a mystery regarding its cause, with initial reports suggesting a possible attack by Iran. However, Iran has denied any involvement. The explosion, which occurred in the ship's engine room, led to a fire that was extinguished without any injuries to the 24 crew members. South Korea has dispatched a team to investigate the incident, and the ship is being towed to Dubai for inspection.
