Controversy Surrounds Potential Royal Funeral for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Reports have emerged suggesting that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, may still be entitled to a royal funeral despite losing his titles. The arrangements, part of the 'bridge' plans, have sparked outrage, particularly among victims of Jeffrey Epstein, with whom Andrew was associated. Critics, including US lawyer Gloria Allred, argue that a royal funeral would send a negative message to Epstein's victims. Andrew was arrested earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office, further complicating his public image. The Palace has not confirmed any funeral plans, but speculation suggests it could follow the structure of Princess Margaret's funeral in 2002.
