Scottish Exam Pass Rates Increase Amid Educational Reforms
Scottish students have seen an increase in exam pass rates as they receive their results for Nationals, Highers, Advanced Highers, and Skills for Work Awards. Over 148,000 learners participated, with a record number of vocational and technical qualifications awarded. This comes after the replacement of the Scottish Qualifications Authority with Qualifications Scotland, following previous controversies. The poverty-related attainment gap has also narrowed compared to the previous year. Additionally, a record number of Scottish students aged 18 and under have been accepted into university or college, with 32,370 students securing places, up from 31,850 in 2025.
