Krewe of Pyros Brings Mardi Gras Celebration to D.C. Streets, Embracing New Orleans Culture

The event featured floats, marching bands, and the traditional tossing of beads, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of New Orleans' Bourbon Street. The parade was part of the Krewe's broader mission to spread Louisiana culture and support community initiatives, including scholarships and STEM programs. The event was attended by notable figures such as Rep. Troy Carter, who represents New Orleans in the House of Representatives, and J.C. Walker, the founder of the Krewe of Pyros. The celebration also included the Fiyah Festival, which highlighted the Krewe's commitment to community service and cultural exchange.
