UAE's Habshan Gas Plant Suspended After Attack Causes Fire
The Habshan gas facilities, the largest gas processing site in the United Arab Emirates, have been forced offline following a fire caused by an attack. The Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that the fire erupted after debris fell on the site, which was intercepted by air defense systems. The Habshan complex, operated by Abu Dhabi's national oil company ADNOC, includes five plants with a capacity of 6.1 billion standard cubic feet per day. This incident marks the second time operations have been suspended at Habshan due to attacks since the onset of the war. The site is crucial as it hosts oil facilities and serves as the starting point for the Habshan-Fujairah crude pipeline, which helps reroute UAE's oil exports away from the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery in Kuwait was also targeted by a drone attack, causing fires in several units, though no injuries were reported.
