Oman Awards OMR 734 Million in Infrastructure Projects to Boost Economic Diversification
Oman has announced the awarding of 74 projects worth OMR 734 million and the issuance of 60 new tenders valued at OMR 365 million in the first seven months of 2026. These projects span various sectors, including healthcare, roads, flood protection, logistics, and public infrastructure, as part of the country's Vision 2040 initiative. The Public Authority for Projects, Tenders, and Local Content has been instrumental in this process, focusing on improving public infrastructure and enhancing government spending efficiency. Key projects include flood protection systems, healthcare infrastructure, and road development, all aimed at strengthening the country's resilience to extreme weather and improving connectivity.
