6-Month-Old Abducted in West Lafayette Found Safe at Louisville Bus Station
A 6-month-old child was safely recovered in Louisville, Kentucky, after being abducted from West Lafayette, Indiana. The abduction occurred when Jasmine O'Sullivan, a 22-year-old from Lawrenceville, Georgia, used a false identity to gain the trust of the child's mother and subsequently took the child while babysitting. The West Lafayette police were alerted to the abduction and, following a citizen tip, discovered that O'Sullivan and the child were on a bus heading to Louisville. Law enforcement, including Louisville police, SWAT, and a specialized task force, coordinated to intercept the bus at a Greyhound station. The child was safely recovered and taken to Norton Children’s Hospital as a precaution before being reunited with family. O'Sullivan was arrested and is facing a federal kidnapping charge, with potential for additional charges as the investigation continues.
