Rising Pollen Counts Impacting Major U.S. Cities This Spring
As spring progresses, pollen levels are increasing across the United States, affecting millions who suffer from seasonal allergies. According to USA Today, more than 80 million Americans experience symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and watery eyes due to pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. The Allergy & Asthma Network highlights that pollen counts vary by region and type, with tree pollen peaking in mid-April in central states like Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky. Northern states will see peak tree pollen in mid-May, while grass pollen will start affecting southern states in May, moving northward in June and July.
