Jonesboro Police Arrest Two Men on Fentanyl Trafficking Charges Following Traffic Stop
Two men, Dustin Larue Brawley, 32, and Michael Gray, 35, were arrested in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on August 28, facing fentanyl trafficking and other drug-related charges. The arrests stemmed from an early-morning traffic stop on August 25, when Jonesboro police officers pulled over a U-Haul van for speeding on Alexander Drive and Wood Street. Officers noted the van had left a motel known for drug activity. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers learned both occupants were on probation or parole. A K-9 unit conducted a sniff around the van, giving a positive alert that led to a search. During the search, police discovered multiple bags of drugs and paraphernalia, including 99.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 27.7 grams of suspected marijuana, and 1.1 grams of suspected fentanyl, along with hypodermic needles and a digital scale. Both Brawley and Gray denied knowledge of the drugs' origin during their interview. They appeared before Judge Barbara Halsey on August 31, who found probable cause for the charges....
