Vietnam Develops Legal Framework to Boost Cultural Industry Growth
Vietnam is in the process of developing a comprehensive legal framework aimed at transforming its cultural resources into economic power. The draft Law on Cultural Industry Development seeks to institutionalize policies that connect creators, businesses, and regulatory agencies, supporting data sharing, skills training, and digital transformation. The law also addresses intellectual property, proposing digitization and documentation to facilitate protection and commercialization. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance Vietnam's cultural industry, which currently contributes 4-5% to the GDP, with a target of at least 7% by 2030.
