Buckingham Palace Hosts Exhibition on Queen Elizabeth II's Fashion Legacy
Buckingham Palace is currently hosting the largest exhibition of Queen Elizabeth II's fashion, titled 'Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style.' The exhibition, which runs until October 18 at The King’s Gallery, showcases over 300 items, many of which are being displayed for the first time. These include personal items from the queen's childhood, such as baby bonnets, and iconic pieces like a Lanvin gold lamé dress and jewel-toned velvet coats by Norman Hartnell. Curated by Caroline de Guitaut, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the queen's relationship with fashion throughout her life, highlighting her influence on style and her personal preferences. The exhibition also marks the official transfer of the monarch's fashion archive to the Royal Collection.
