Chadwick Boseman's Brothers Seek Court Intervention Over Estate Administration
Chadwick Boseman's brothers, Derrick and Kevin Boseman, have filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court to remove Taylor Simone Ledward, the widow of the late actor, as the administrator of his estate. The petition alleges that Ledward has not fully distributed the estate as required by a 2022 probate order. Following Boseman's death in 2020, without a will, 50% of his estate was inherited by Ledward, while his parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, were to receive 25% each. The brothers claim that Ledward has maintained unilateral control over the estate, causing ongoing harm to their parents by depriving them of financial assets and emotional closure. They are requesting the court to compel Ledward to distribute the estate and provide a complete accounting of the assets, including royalties and residuals.
