Trump's Board of Peace Assures Israel on Gaza Withdrawal Amid Disarmament Concerns
President Trump's Board of Peace has reassured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel's withdrawal from Gaza will only occur after Hamas has fully disarmed. This assurance comes after objections from Netanyahu's security cabinet regarding a phased withdrawal plan proposed by the Board. The plan, which was initially hailed by Trump as a significant milestone, involves Hamas handing over its weapons to a Palestinian governing committee. Despite the agreement, Netanyahu's office expressed concerns, emphasizing the need for a verifiable and irreversible demilitarization of Hamas. The Board of Peace, led by Nickolay Mladenov, has been in discussions with Israeli officials to align on shared objectives, ensuring that any withdrawal beyond the Yellow Line, where Hamas still holds control, will only happen post-disarmament.
