Zaya Wade and Dwyane Wade Advocate for Trans Youth Through Nonprofit Initiative
Zaya Wade, alongside her father, NBA star Dwyane Wade, co-founded the nonprofit organization Translatable to support LGBTQIA+ youth and their families. The organization aims to provide a safe space and resource hub for those in need. Recently, Zaya hosted the 2nd Annual Translatable Ball in Los Angeles, which also served as her 19th birthday celebration. The event emphasized visibility and community for transgender individuals, with Zaya expressing the importance of being seen and celebrated. The ball was attended by community members, activists, and creatives, and was sponsored by brands like H&M and CANN. It also functioned as a fundraiser for trans nonprofit organizations, including the Trans Wellness Center.
