Campbell University Achieves High Financial Rating Amid National University Funding Challenges
Campbell University has been recognized for its financial stability, receiving a B rating in Forbes' annual College Financial Grades assessment. This evaluation, which reviewed over 900 private, non-profit colleges and universities, placed Campbell sixth among 34 private institutions in North Carolina. The rating is significant as more than half of the private schools nationwide received a C grade or lower, with 27% earning the lowest grade of D. Sandy Connolly, Campbell's vice president for business and chief financial officer, highlighted that the B rating reflects the university's disciplined financial management and strategic investments. The assessment by Forbes, which was revamped for 2026 using new data from Perspective Data Science, focuses on a college's liquidity, providing independent validation of Campbell's financial health.
