Kansas City Businesses Hit by Serial Burglar, Police Seek Suspect
Three businesses in the Waldo area of Kansas City, Missouri, were broken into within hours of each other by a single suspect. City Barrel Pizza and Patio, Bramble and Stem, and Eclectics were targeted. The owner of City Barrel Pizza and Patio, Joe Giammanco, shared surveillance video with KCTV5, showing the burglar, dressed in Kelly green athletic pants and a red hoodie, yanking on doors before gaining entry. The video captures the suspect using a cell phone light to navigate the premises and ultimately pulling a cash register out of the wall. The alarm at City Barrel Pizza and Patio was triggered at 5:15 a.m. The cash register was later found a block away, containing only about 75 cents, according to Giammanco. This incident marks the second break-in for City Barrel Pizza and Patio since 2024, when thieves smashed a glass window to enter. Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) has released images of the suspect and is actively investigating the incidents, though no arrests have been made.
