Three Stabbed, Several Arrested After Large Gatherings at Rhode Island Beaches
A chaotic incident unfolded at Narragansett Town Beach in Rhode Island, where three individuals were stabbed amidst a large gathering of beachgoers. The stabbings occurred as hundreds of teens took over the beach, leading to panic and a mass evacuation. The victims suffered minor injuries and were treated by first responders before being transported to local hospitals. The police have not yet identified a suspect or motive for the stabbings, and it remains unclear if the victims were acquainted or if the attack was random. The commotion led to several disturbances, resulting in the arrest of two adults on charges including simple assault and disorderly conduct. Additionally, in a separate incident at Second Beach in Middletown, a large group of teens caused further disruptions, leading to the use of pepper spray by police to disperse the crowd.
