Reggaeton Beach Festival Fined for Abusive Practices Affecting Attendees
The Ministry of Rights Sociales, Consumo y Agenda 2030 has imposed a fine of 320,000 euros on the organizers of the Reggaeton Beach Festival for engaging in abusive practices that violate consumer rights. The festival, which takes place in various autonomous communities, was penalized following a complaint by FACUA-Consumidores en Acción. The infractions included prohibiting attendees from bringing their own food and drinks, charging exorbitant prices for basic items, and imposing additional fees for re-entry. The festival also faced criticism for not refunding leftover amounts from cashless bracelets used for purchases within the event.
