National League of Cities Launches AI Forum to Support Local Governments
The National League of Cities (NLC) has established an AI and Emerging Technology Forum to aid local governments in understanding and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This initiative aims to help cities, towns, and villages navigate the opportunities and risks associated with AI. The forum will bring together mayors, chief information officers, and tech practitioners to explore AI's potential in improving service delivery and governance. The first virtual meeting took place in March, with an in-person gathering scheduled for the NLC City Summit in November 2026.
