Lockheed Martin Demonstrates AI-Enabled Battle Management Prototype for Guam Missile Defense
Lockheed Martin has successfully demonstrated an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled battle management prototype designed to enhance the integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) systems for Guam. The prototype, known as the Guam Defense System Battle Manager Suite, integrates data from multiple sensors and weapon systems to create a unified air picture. It utilizes AI-based analytics to provide operators with real-time recommendations for engaging identified threats. During the demonstration at Fort Bliss, Texas, the system processed hundreds of tracks and generated appropriate response recommendations, while also displaying weapon inventories and potential engagement opportunities within the operational area. The suite features an open architecture, allowing for the integration of software, planned responses, air tasking information, airspace-control information, and capabilities from other defense companies.
