Seattle Police Search for Men After Parachuting from Space Needle
Seattle police are searching for two men who parachuted from the Space Needle, a 605-foot structure, on Friday. The men, described as white males in their late 20s, climbed over the glass wall of the observation deck and jumped off, deploying parachutes. This act of BASE jumping, which involves leaping from fixed objects, is illegal and the men face trespassing charges. Security personnel at the Space Needle were unable to determine where the men landed, and they remain unidentified.
