Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement Honors Leaders for Contributions to Agriculture
The Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement recently held its annual banquet in Lincoln, where it recognized leaders in agribusiness and higher education for their significant contributions to the state's agricultural landscape. David Briggs, the president and CEO of Western Cooperative Company (WESTCO) and CEO of Sustainable Beef, along with Ronnie Green, chancellor emeritus of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, were honored for their lasting impact on agriculture and rural communities. The event also inducted 12 new members whose leadership spans various sectors, including production agriculture, Extension, agribusiness, and natural resources. The Hall, founded in 1916, aims to honor individuals whose work has provided lasting benefits to agriculture in Nebraska.
