Containment Efforts Progress on Henry, Coyote, and Shingle Fires in Oregon
Firefighters are making progress in containing the Henry, Coyote, and Shingle Fires in Central Oregon. These fires, ignited by lightning, have collectively burned tens of thousands of acres. The Henry and Coyote Fires are largely contained, while efforts continue to secure the Shingle Fire's perimeter. Firefighters are using heavy equipment and aerial support to manage the fires, with a focus on protecting structures and preventing further spread. Despite the progress, hot and dry weather conditions persist, posing challenges to containment efforts.
