Gatwick Airport Faces Disruptions Due to Water Outage Affecting Facilities
A power outage at the Bough Beech Water Treatment Works in southeast England has led to significant disruptions at Gatwick Airport, located south of London. The outage caused a drop in water pressure, resulting in toilets being out of order and the closure of restaurants within the airport. The airport management has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers using both terminals. SES Water, the company responsible for the water supply, is working to restore service. In the meantime, the airport claimed to be providing bottled water to passengers, although some travelers have disputed this claim, stating they have not seen any distribution of water bottles. The situation has left passengers without access to essential facilities, with some sitting on the floor due to a shortage of seating as bars and restaurants remain closed.
