Nunez Community College Expands Heavy Equipment Training Programs to Meet Workforce Demand
Nunez Community College in Chalmette, Louisiana, is expanding its heavy equipment certification programs to address the growing demand for skilled trades in the region. The college's Workforce Division will offer three short-term certification programs this fall, including a one-day forklift training and a six-week heavy equipment course. The flagship program provides certifications for operating various construction equipment, such as bulldozers and excavators, and includes AED, CPR, and first aid certifications. The programs are part of Nunez's broader workforce development efforts to provide industry-recognized certifications that prepare participants for careers in construction, manufacturing, logistics, and other industrial sectors.
