Victor Davis Hanson Theorizes on Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene's Relationship with President Trump
Victor Davis Hanson, a military classicist, historian, and fellow at the Hoover Institution, has offered a theory regarding why figures like Tucker Carlson and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, initially perceived as allies of the MAGA movement, later appeared to become 'saboteurs.' According to Hanson, these individuals may have misinterpreted their informal interactions with President Trump, such as visits to Mar-a-Lago or being on Air Force One, as an indication of greater influence over the movement and the President's decisions. Hanson suggests they believed they could guide the MAGA movement for their own ends, but when President Trump made it clear this would not happen, their true colors were revealed. He emphasized that President Trump, as the President of the United States, engages with powerful global figures, and these individuals may have overestimated their importance in his decision-making process.
