Ericsson Partners with Canada to Develop 5G Network for Defense and Public Safety
Ericsson Canada has announced a partnership with the Government of Canada to establish the Advanced Wireless Communications Innovation Network (AWIN). This initiative aims to advance public safety, security, and defense systems through next-generation wireless technology. AWIN will combine Ericsson's network technologies with Area XO, Canada's innovation hub, to create a secure environment for developing and testing future wireless use cases. The initiative will support critical sectors such as defense and public safety by improving communication, coordination, and response times during emergencies.
