Jackson County Sheriff's Office Arrests Marquis Odom After Six-Hour Standoff in Moss Point
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Marquis Odom, 44, of Jackson County, on charges of armed robbery and domestic violence aggravated assault following a six-hour standoff in Moss Point, Mississippi. The incident began around 5:40 a.m. when authorities received a report of a domestic altercation on Wisteria Drive in Escatawpa. The individuals involved left the scene before deputies arrived, prompting a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert. Shortly after, at approximately 6:08 a.m., the Moss Point Police Department responded to another domestic dispute involving the same individuals at a home on Howze Street in Moss Point. Upon arrival, officers found Odom armed. He then entered the home with a gun and refused to exit, initiating the standoff.
