Frontier Airlines Flight Diverted After Passenger Attempts Cockpit Breach
A Frontier Airlines flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago was diverted to Miami International Airport after a passenger, Juan Gabriel Reyes, became disruptive. Reyes allegedly attempted to open an emergency exit door and enter the cockpit, leading to a confrontation with an off-duty flight attendant whom he choked. Passengers and crew members restrained Reyes using flex cuffs and seatbelt extenders. The flight landed safely in Miami, where Reyes was taken into custody by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office and later turned over to the FBI. He faces charges of interference with flight crew members and assault.
