China is reportedly hindering the export of critical industrial raw materials to Taiwan, including germanium and quartz-based materials essential for electronics, aerospace, optics, and semiconductor industries. According to Nikkei Asia, Chinese customs officials are delaying these shipments by requiring exporting companies to answer extensive questions about their deliveries, extending lead times by months and causing Taiwanese manufacturers to lose orders.
