Portland Authorities Investigate Fatal Crash and Fire at Multnomah Athletic Club
On May 2, 2026, a vehicle crashed into the front entrance of the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland's Goose Hollow Neighborhood, resulting in a fire. Portland Fire & Rescue, along with the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), responded to the incident. After extinguishing the fire, authorities discovered one deceased individual inside the vehicle. The PPB's Explosive Disposal Unit is involved in the investigation due to evidence of an explosive device found in the vehicle.
