U.S. Rep. Barry Moore Advocates for Rural Healthcare Grants in Alabama
U.S. Rep. Barry Moore, R-Enterprise, has issued a statement supporting the allocation of federal grants aimed at improving rural healthcare in Alabama. These grants are part of the Alabama Rural Health Transformation Program (ARHTP), funded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which distributes $50 billion over five years through the U.S. Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for rural healthcare initiatives. Alabama received $203.4 million in December based on its application for 11 initiatives, with the first round of 138 grants, totaling over $144 million, recently distributed to 80 unique healthcare and educational institutions.
