Ethiopian Red Cross Society Enhances Disaster Preparedness in Somali Region
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) is implementing a disaster preparedness project in the Somali Region, funded by DG ECHO. The initiative aims to improve coordination on anticipatory action and build the capacities of local actors, including the ERCS, to better prepare for and respond to disasters. The project focuses on enhancing resilience in communities affected by natural and man-made disasters. The ERCS, one of Ethiopia's largest humanitarian organizations, provides a range of services, including emergency response, first aid, and disaster risk reduction programs.
