Fire Damages Historic Thurman Cafe in Columbus, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out at The Thurman Cafe, a historic landmark in Columbus's German Village, on Sunday afternoon. The blaze began in the basement of the building located at 183 Thurman Ave. The Columbus Division of Fire responded promptly, containing the fire and ensuring the safe evacuation of all staff and patrons. While no injuries were reported, the building sustained structural damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Thurman Cafe, known for its 'Thurmanator' burger, has been a staple in the Columbus dining scene since 1942.
