Israeli Innovation Institute Applies Expertise to Jewish Communal Life, Launches Global Jewish Innovation Network
The Israel Innovation Institute, known for its work in sectors like transportation, agriculture, health, and climate, is now focusing its innovation strategies on Jewish communal life. This shift is marked by the creation of the Global Jewish Innovation Network (GJIN), which aims to apply the institute's methodologies to Jewish organizations worldwide. The initiative was inspired by the global Jewish response to the October 7 terror attacks and subsequent wars, which saw a surge of volunteers and support for Israel. Rabbi Leor Sinai, the senior vice president of global Jewish innovation and partnerships, is leading the effort to engage Jewish communities through collaborative innovation. The institute's approach involves allowing local leaders to define their challenges while providing a tested formula for innovation. The GJIN has already mapped Jewish communities and organizations and launched the Global Jewish Innovation Fellowship to foster leadership and change within these communities.
