Bauman's Farm Market Building Destroyed by Fire, Impacting Century-Old Family Business
A fire has destroyed the market building at Bauman's Farm Market in Penfield, New York, early on July 22, 2026. The Bauman family, who have been farming in the area since 1908, reported that the fire began between 2 and 2:30 a.m. The family home sustained damage, and several nearby greenhouses were also affected. Firefighters from multiple departments worked through the night to control the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Bauman family expressed gratitude for the safety of everyone involved and is currently assessing the next steps for their business.
