Careers Electric Coalition Launches to Address Skilled Electrical Workforce Development in the U.S.
Careers Electric has announced the formation of a coalition aimed at developing a skilled electrical workforce in the United States. This initiative, initially launched in North Carolina, brings together major industry employers, national trade associations, workforce development organizations, and philanthropic partners. The coalition is focused on equipping students and workers with the necessary technical, digital, and safety skills required in the rapidly evolving energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. ABB and the Siemens Foundation are co-chairs of the coalition, with ABB committing $1 million over two years to support the initiative. The coalition aims to address the growing demand for skilled electrical workers, with employment in this field projected to increase by 10% over the next decade.
